This Is Why We Do It.

  • Purpose

Empowering families to build stability and create resilient futures through meaningful relationships and resources that meet real needs.

  • Mission

The Springfield Dream Center exists to be a safe place where families are treated with dignity, surrounded by meaningful relationships, and connected with the support and resources they need to take their next steps toward stability.

  • Vision

We envision a community where families have the support, skills, and confidence to build lasting stability. A place where children dream boldly, parents lead confidently, and neighbors strengthen and support one another.

What We Do

Help for Today. Hope for Tomorrow.

Sometimes a family needs help getting through today. Sometimes they need support building toward a different tomorrow. We believe both matter.

Our programs are designed to meet real needs while building the relationships, skills, and stability that can make a lasting difference.

Help Programs

  • Toddler Time

A place for little ones to play, learn, and grow while parents and caregivers build community with one another. In partnership with Parents as Teachers, Toddler Time gives families an opportunity to connect while helping children develop important social and developmental skills.

  • Diaper Distribution

Through our partnership with the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks, families with children under three can receive diapers each month, helping meet a simple but important need for families in our community.

  • Community Nights

Good food. Helpful resources. Real community.

On the first Tuesday of each month, families are invited to the Dream Center for a free hot meal, connection with community partners, and an opportunity to discover what’s happening at the Dream Center.

  • Sports Clubs

Quality sports should be accessible to every kid. Our free sports clubs give students in grades K through 8 opportunities to play, build friendships, learn teamwork, and develop important social and life skills.

  • Block Parties

Throughout the year, our Block Parties bring families and neighbors together for food, games, giveaways, and a chance to simply enjoy being part of the community.

  • Senior Boxes

In partnership with Ozarks Food Harvest, the Dream Center provides monthly boxes of nonperishable food to qualifying adults over 60, helping provide reliable access to food and additional support.

Hope Programs

  • The Village

The Village comes alongside women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of motherhood with education, emotional support, and meaningful relationships.

It’s a place for moms to care for their babies, care for themselves, and find a community of people walking through life alongside them.

  • DC Academy

DC Academy is our afterschool program for students in grades K through 12 attending Bowerman Elementary, Reed Middle School, or Hillcrest High School.

Students receive consistent support while developing social and emotional skills that can help them grow at school, at home, and in their relationships.

  • S.T.E.P. Classes

Sometimes the next step starts with learning something new.

S.T.E.P. Classes bring people together around practical topics designed to build skills, create community, and help families continue moving toward greater stability.

More Than a Program

Everything we do comes back to people.

Meeting an immediate need matters. So does what happens after that need is met. That’s why the Dream Center is committed to walking alongside families, building relationships, and creating opportunities for people to take meaningful next steps.
